“Water your roots so your soul can blossom”!
Taking inspiration from these quotes we at “Positive7” have come up with an initiative known as “Udbhav”. It will be a drive to connect the rural and urban areas through culture, art and traditions. A program to improve the livelihood of the tribe and for the urban population to explore rural life and explore back to roots.
One will get to live a rural life when on a trip with us. Plowing, seeding, harvesting, and farming will be the activities they will do with the farmers. They will get to play games with the locals like making bows and arrows, slingshots, and marbles. Learning their crafts like fishing, wall art, and bamboo craft. Spend their leisure time grazing the cattle and milking them, flooring their huts with the dung, taking cattle rides, etc. Cooking the traditional way by cutting the wood and burning it and cooking on it in clay pots. For recreation, dance to the traditional folk songs with music played on instruments made locally.
‘Udbhav’ in all its efforts will aim at enhancing and uplifting rural lives. We are going to work for hand in hand and step by step for the betterment of the villages and tribes of Dang.
- Betterment of the Village: A portion of the revenue generated through this program will be shared with the village for the betterment of the Village.
- Employment: This program will create employment for the villager’s i.e from accommodation, food, art & craft, cultural program etc.
- Revival of Art & Craft: when activities art and craft will be conducted. ‘Warli art’ which is becoming extinct will be revived when such artisans will be paid to teach this forgotten form of art. This will motivate the artisans to keep their art intact and take it further as a profession.
- Migration: When the tribes will get employment and income from this program the migration from one place to another in search of employment will stop.
‘Udbhav’ will be creating great opportunities for both the urban and rural people to come together for the betterment of the other.
Final Itinerary pdf will be update here, 1 week before the trip
