Home of the Asiatic Lion
Sasan Gir is one of India’s oldest sanctuaries, and is synonymous with the majestic Asiatic lion (Panthera leo persica). The only place in India to see this animal, this park can take legitimate pride in saving an endangered species, which was at the threshold of extinction in the start of the twenty-first century, by providing it a more secured habitat. The Gir ecosystem falls in Biogeography Zone-4 (the semi-arid) and Biogeography Province 4-B. Gujarat Rajwara is the last remaining abode of the Asiatic Lion, Panthera leo persica. The Government of Gujarat has declared an area of 1412.1 sq km as Protected Area (PA) which comprises 258.7 sq km as National Park and 1153.4 sq km as Sanctuary. Besides this 470.5 sq km of forest area forms a buffer Zone as reserve, protected and unclassified forest. Thus, a total area of 1882.6 sq km makes up the Gir forest.

Itinerary
Day 01: Departure from Ahmedabad
Departure from Ahmedabad early in the morning to Sasan Gir. Breakfast and lunch will be served en- route. On arrival, Check-in to Resort. Evening will be at Resort enjoying various activities and in-house games. Night will be at Gir.
Day 02: Chakkada ride
Get up early in the morning and go for nature walk and return to resort for breakfast. Later enjoy various games and activities in the Resort. Post lunch we will enjoy Chakkada ride and visit Sinh Sadan, Museum, Souvenir shop, Crocodile Park, Temples at Haripur etc.. Evening enjoy tribal Siddi dance followed by dinner. Night will we at resort.
Day 03: Gir Jungle safari
Post breakfast, go for Gir Jungle safari – The Gir forest ecosystem takes legitimate pride in saving rare and endangered majestic Asiatic lions from the threshold of extinction at the beginning of the 19th century. A diverse assemblage of more than 600 species of wild flora and wild fauna, including 41 mammal species, 47 reptile species and over 300 resident and migratory bird species, gives serene and fascinating experiences to the visitors in the vast swaths of forest. Post Lunch, go for Devalia park bus safari . Devalia – Nestled in the Gir forest, the Gir Interpretation Zone, Devalia (popularly known as Devalia Safari Park) is a mini version of Gir. The 412-hectare safari park has almost all representative wildlife and forests of Gir. Later back to Resort and enjoy Activates. Night will be in resort.
Day 04: Ahmedabad via Somnath.
Post breakfast check-out and start your journey back to Ahmedabad via Somnath. Somnath – One of the 12 jyotirlinga shrines of Shiva, Somnath Temple is also the specimen of fine architecture. Dubbed as Eternal Shrine, it is believed to be the place where Lord Krishna ended his Lila and thereafter for heavenly abode. Reach Ahmedabad by late evening and the trip ends with fond memories to cherish for years to come.
